Good day, my name is Chad Swart and welcome to my photography page! I’m glad you’ve taken the time to stop by and explore my portfolio.
My journey with photography began at the Stellenbosch Academy of Design and Photography, where I completed a short course that laid the foundation for my creative career. Soon after, I took my skills abroad and worked as a photographer on Platinum Standard Cruise Liners, collaborating with well-known companies such as Disney and Norwegian Cruise Line. Over the span of seven contracts, each ranging from 6–7 months, I had the opportunity to capture countless memories at events such as parties, portrait sessions, and weddings.
When the world came to a standstill during Covid, I shifted my focus locally and spent two years specializing in real estate photography, videography, and 3D virtual tour mapping. This period gave me the chance to develop my technical expertise while also building a new creative direction.
Most recently, I worked on a project involving photogrammetry—creating large-scale 3D models of movie sets for special effects. This exciting role was part of a collaboration with a company working alongside Paramount, combining advanced imaging techniques with the art of storytelling.
Photography for me has always been about more than just taking pictures—it’s about capturing moments, stories, and experiences that people can treasure for years to come.
